The CROSS
Where God did show His greatest love and hate? The CROSS.
Yesterday some of us went to St Andrew Cathedral to listen to Bill Crowder's message on the Transformation power of Jesus from the book of Philippians. It was a very good sermon. It sets my heart to think and reflect upon my life. Many times I downplay His greatness and love in my life. Like what Paul said in Philippians 3: 16: "Only let us live up to what we have already attained". We go through lives at different stages of progress and should be faithful to as much of God's truth as we understand.
Another thing that I am reminded again in the teaching is humility, submission and servanthood. Humility is the hallmark of Christianity. It's difficult to be one but through these we give glory to Him. Everytime we honour God and choose His way, Heaven rejoices and He is pleased.
One quote that I like that Bill mentioned in this movie, "The Chariots of Fire". Eric Liddell said: "I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure".
