One man can change the world...
Today's sermon by Pastor Ben was great! I am inspired by the story that he shared about a group of students who stood up in the Shareholder's meeting to speak against the wrongs that the company did in exploiting the poor in another countries by not paying them well and did not give them adequate welfare to improve their lifestyle. These group of students got the attention of the directors and top management and a separate meeting was arranged to talk to them. All these discussion influenced how the company runs the business and the humanitarian project the company embarked to improve the lifelihood of the poor people.
If we are convicted and bold enough to stand against evil, we can change the world!
I just finished reading "Tuesdays with Morrie" today. This book is a birthday gift from a friend. An inspiring true story of a dying professor who formed his own personal culture on how he dealt with many issues in life: love, family, marriage, death, culture, meaning of life....
We struggle with issues like death, love, meaning in life...irregardless of our background, faith, education
How we deal with these issues will depend on how we perceive and response to them.
A good review by CNN on this book.
